Berries, regardless of the color, are a staple in any diet. Across the board, they are low in calories, high in nutrients and high in antioxidants. Not to mention, they’re delicious and they make a dessert shine.
For a light ending on a hot day, try the berries in orange-kissed moscato. It’s incredibly light, easy (no cooking required) and versatile.
- 1 bottle of moscato
- Zest from 1 orange
- 1 cup strawberries, hulled and halved
- 1 cup blackberries
- 1 1/2 cups blueberries
- Vanilla ice cream (optional)
Zest your orange. Open moscato and then place zest, moscato and all the berries in a pitcher. Allow to marinate, in the refrigerator, for one hour. Serve in flute glasses.
Serve as is or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
